InCart-3D

Scaffold

Project Full Name: InCart-3D: Illuminating Cartilage Regeneration Through 3D Bioprinting

Goal: The project goal is to develop an enabling platform technology (combination of bioink and printing process) that addresses the problems of bone and cartilage damage and offers opportunities for concrete therapy development. The anticipated outcome of this project is the successful development of bioinks suitable for 3D bioprinting using digital light processing (DLP) technology for fabricating bone and cartilage tissue. DLP 3D printing technology was chosen for the project because DLP stands out for its printing speed, resolution, and precision, which are important for producing complex, detailed structures, as is the case with bioprinting bone and cartilage tissues. The ability to control light exposure in DLP is essential for maintaining cell viability and functionality during the printing process.
