B-SMARTT! stands for Biotechnology-driven – Smart, Market-oriented, Additive Manufacturing-based, R&D-supporting Technological Transition.
The project aims to foster cross-sector collaboration between two technology-driven sectors, stimulating innovation, economic opportunities, and societal impact.
To achieve this, B-SMARTT! is developing a sustainable innovation platform that brings together and strengthens expertise in materials and technologies. SMEs in particular will gain access to the platform, providing them with the technological expertise and infrastructure needed in the fields of materials, manufacturing techniques, and validation to develop feasible circular innovation projects.
In addition, business expertise will be made available through an open business ecosystem, supporting entrepreneurs in defining and developing their circular innovation projects.
The project focuses on two main types of innovation: material innovation based on residual and waste streams, and market-driven technological innovation for product development and tailored solutions for manufacturing processes, with the aim of delivering tangible and applicable results.
