Didem Aksu

Didem Aksu, PhD candidate, is Biomedical Research Scientist at BIO INX. She finished her bachelor and master’s degree in biochemistry at Ege University, Turkey. During her studies, she focused on nanomaterials and nanobiotechological approaches for cancer therapies. After that, she started her PhD in Biotechnology program at Yeditepe University, Turkey. She worked in a Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering group and her thesis was about the synthesis of new bone cement composition and its evaluation for bone tissue formation. She also worked at the 3D Printing and Biofabrication lab at TU Wien, Austria, as a PhD internship student, and participated in three different projects on several 3D bioprinting technologies for tissue engineering applications. Also, she worked in a pharmaceutical company as an associate Scientist at R&D department - Analytics and Bioanalytics. She joined our team to focus on the research and development activities, as well as performing in vitro assays.
