Bio INX announced a capital raise of 700 000 euro from a combination of private investment and public funding. BIO INX is a recent start up focusing on the development and commercialization of bio inks, which are materials suitable for the 3D printing of cells and tissues for 3D bioprinting.

The fresh start-up BIO INX BV (Zwijnaarde, Belgium), focusses on the development and commercialization of innovative materials for the 3D printing of cells and tissues. It originates from the XPECT INX project from Ghent University and is now rebranding to BIO INX during incorporation.

Xpect INX (Gent, Belgium) and Nanoscribe (Karlsruhe, Germany) join in a distribution agreement via the launch of a whole portfolio of biocompatible materials for high resolution Biofabrication.

XPECT INX is very proud to announce a new collaboration with FELIXprinters, one of the established companies in the field of conventional additive manufacturing. Based on 10 years of experience in the field of additive manufacturing, FELIXprinters has come up with the novel and very high-performance FELIX BIOprinter.

With the launch of X Hybdrobio INX© U200, 3D printing of structures containing living cells at both the meso- and microscale becomes possible for the first time. This can be achieved by using the bioink in combination with the NanoOne Bio-printer by Upnano GmbH (Vienna, Austria) for which it was specifically developed.
